Kuta
Southern Bali is the centre of Bali’s tourist hub with Kuta being one of the busiest areas in Bali. It’s tight, congested streets are a hive of tourist activity and are best explored on foot. Kuta accommodation varies greatly from budget back packer accommodation and cheap hotels to luxury resorts and indulgent private villas.
The white sands of Kuta beach have been attracting surfers for many years. While the beach can get a little crowded at times there is no shortage of surf schools and board hire companies near The Hard Rock Hotel. Kuta is also home to Bali’s premier water park. ‘Waterbom’ is one of the biggest water parks in Asia and provides great family entertainment for the whole day. It is also located directly across from the Discovery Shopping Mall.
In addition to the local markets and small shops, major brands such as Volcom, Rusty, Billabong, Surfer Girl, Quiksilver and Rip Curl all have department stores in the area. For those looking to party you will also find The Bounty and Mbargo nightclubs and many other bars in the area.
